ON THE FUZZY SET THEORY AND AGGREGATION FUNCTIONS: HISTORY AND SOME RECENT ADVANCES
Several fuzzy connectives, including those proposed by Lotfi Zadeh, can be seen as linear extensions of the Boolean connectives from the scale ${0,1}$ into the scale $[0,1]$. We discuss these extensions, in particular, we focus on the dualities arising from the Boolean dualities. These dualities allow to transfer the results from some particular class of extended Boolean functions, e.g., from c...
متن کاملBasic Theory in Construction of Boolean Functions with Maximum Possible Annihilator Immunity
So far there is no systematic attempt to construct Boolean functions with maximum annihilator immunity. In this paper we present a construction keeping in mind the basic theory of annihilator immunity. This construction provides functions with the maximum possible annihilator immunity and the weight, nonlinearity and algebraic degree of the functions can be properly calculated under certain cas...
متن کاملCryptographer's Toolkit for Construction of 8-Bit Bent Functions
Boolean functions form basic building blocks in various cryptographic algorithms. They are used for instance as filters in stream ciphers. Maximally non-linear (necessarily non-balanced) Boolean functions with an even number of variables are called bent functions. Bent functions can be modified to get balanced highly non-linear Boolean functions. Recently the first author has demonstrated how b...
متن کاملBoolean Functions, Quantum Gates, Hamilton Operators, Spin Systems and Computer Algebra
We describe the construction of quantum gates (unitary operators) from boolean functions and give a number of applications. Both non-reversible and reversible boolean functions are considered. Computer algebra implementations are provided.
متن کاملThreshold networks for pattern classification
This paper describes a method of constructing one-hidden layer feedforward linear threshold networks to represent Boolean functions (or partially-defined Boolean functions). The first step in the construction is sequential linear separation, a technique that has been used by a number of researchers [7, 11, 2]. Next, from a suitable sequence of linear separations, a threshold network is formed. ...
